Fremont Solstice Parade

Come breath life! Join Sasquatch, the Pacific Northwest Giant Tree Octopus CascadiaNow! and thousands of others for the 27th Solstice Day parade, ending at Dream Dance and HonkFest in Gasworks Park. We have tons of Seagull and Turtle costumes, and are partnering with another ensemble that will have Salmon windsocks.
Our flock will be gathering our flock in downtown Fremont at 2pm with the parade begins at 3PM at 3rd and Leary Way.
Upcoming Art Builds
In addition, we will have a series of days where we will be working on building a float, giant puppets and finishing our costumes. Everyone is welcome to join us!
3pm This Sunday! (June 14th) - Cascadia Potluck and Art Build. We will be working on costumes, and beginning to papermache the hands and face of the Sasquatch, as well as the Octopus. 4128 Interlake Ave N Seattle WA.
The following week, we will have drop in work parties every evening.
Tuesday June 16th, we will begin the initial frame construction, and can use any and all folks who have experience doing construction or wood working.
Wed, Thur, Fri we will have drop in work parties starting at 6pm to flesh out the frame, begin paper mache, and help paint the float and giant puppet. This will be located with all the other floats at the Powerhouse in Fremont, and it's an awesome time to hang out with all the other artists, floatbuilders and toss some glitter around. Everyone is welcome!
